Excellent Garage Renovation
"R M Jones recently carried out a garage renovation for us, following previous plastering work in the house. The work was carried out to a really good standard, was completed on time and on budget. Communication with Rhys was excellent, he and his tradesmen always turned up when expected, were professional and tidy and a pleasure to have around. We are delighted with the finished work and will use R M Jones again without hesitation."

"It was a great project to work on in Trearddur bay, a large detached dormer bungalow, the aim of the garage conversion was to maximise the space of the existing garage. We did this by knocking down the internal wall where there used to be a door way into the coal bunker/wood storage area. We had to get building regulations involved to calculate the RSJ required to support the roof above, we also built a wooden frame on top of this to accommodate the structure to extend the slate roof over the bunker area where there was previously a flat roof. After getting the roof felted, battened, slated and ridge tiles fitted we proceeded back on the internal work once we were weather tight. The floor levels were uneven so we had to dig down through the concrete whish was solid. Once the digging was done we then put down some hard-core, insulation and fresh concrete. The next stage was the rewire, first fix and plumbing first fix, this was done relatively quickly even though the lads had some difficulty drilling into the main house to access the services. The next step was to inject and damp proof half of the area as one side was single brick. Dry lined the walls with thick insulated plasterboard before applying finish plaster. This was followed by second fix plumbing and electrics. The joiner who did the roof also fitted some doors and skirting for us at the end. Painting was done by Mark himself. To summarise we first had contact with Mark when he needed a few small jobs doing when he moved in to his property in Treaddur bay, which later led to this bigger job. This project took us around 6 weeks to complete start to finish. Everything went really well, other than trying to get services connected which took a little longer than expected. All in all we have a very happy customer and we are also very happy and proud of how this project has worked out."
