Plastering and damp proofing
"Always on time, he put in maximum effort into removing all of the previous damp plaster. Rhys is honest, friendly and has a good sense of humour. Rhys did our plastering and damp proofing work downstairs on all the rooms including the ceiling and upstairs on the wall on two rooms and the hall way. "We came into contact with Jasper by recommendation from a friend of his, Pamela who we had previously done work for in the Llanfairpwll area. Jasper was having some penetrating damp issues. We initially had a walk around to problem solve, the main candidate was the guttering full of muck and leaves which was not letting the water down the down pipes as they are designed. The water had been travelling behind the fascia boards and creating all the damp problems. We rectified the problem by cleaning all the gutters as they were in good condition and not in need of replacing any time soon. The external facing walls had to be all hacked off because of all the water ingress damage. We painted them all with tanking slurry and injected walls with damp proof cream above the dpc line, just as a precaution for any rising damp. We then applied a few coats of sand and cement with salt inhibitors and topped with finish plaster, alongside this we also plastered a few ceilings to spruce the rooms up. Everything went well after we had problem solved the damp issues as it was a 1970’s built red brick house, these problems can occur, but no problem for us and glad that it has all been sorted for you. We will see you soon for the external k-rend work which will finish the place off nicely and match in with houses that have been recently done next to you in Llanfairpwll."
